Organized Labor, l865 - 1902

Karl Marx first institued Unions in New York and London, in l861. However, Unionization made made significant headway during and after the Civil, and in l866 the National Labor Union was formed. It was active until 1872. In 1869 the "Noble Order of the Knights of Labor, was founded by Uriah Smith Stephens, however it did not become important in the Labor Movement until 1878. It was ogriginally organized as a secret Organization, and for nine years the Order remained a secret one--in 1878 the Order was forced to abolish its code of secrecy. With its coming out of it rule of secrecy, it simontaneously adopted a new program, called the "Preamble of the Nights of Labor" that reads, in part, as follows: ..."WEALTH," WHITH ITS DEVELOPMENT HAS BECOME SO AGRESSIVE THAT "UNLESS UNCHECKED IT WILL LEAD TO THE PAUPERIZATION AND HOPELESS DEGRADATION OF THE TOILING MASSES." In reading the above, we can readily discern the fact Unization was founded and rooted in secrecy and communisam, having an innate hatred ...in order to check the power of wealth and "unjust accumulation." Folks, since their inception, the Unions have been out to destroy Capitalism by destroying the wealth of this nation, as well, much of our industrial base and and many of our institutions, such as our School Systems. Now the are on the verge of destroying our Automobile Manufacturing Companies. America--WAKE UP! "The Communist lives in permanent revolt and anger against the injustices of the world around him. But he will suffer any degree of injustice, stupidity and personal outrage from the party he serves." Whitaker Chambers. The Messenger
