In POLITICS - NOTHING IS NEW
With the assumption of his office, like Obama, Roosevelt, at least temporarily, was irresistible. Back than, in the year l933, "The house was burning down and the President of the United States says this is the way to put the fire out."Will Rogers wrote: "The whole country is with him. if he Burned down the Capitol, we would cheer and say, 'Well, we got a fire started anyhow."Folks, government make works project's--don't work. They didn't work for HOOVER OR ROOSEVELT and they won't work for Obama. Our economical downfall is in the Marketplace--not in the inter-structure. Yes you can build a bodge, but who is going to buy one, how many bridges can we sell on the open markets! Government, who is primarily the fault of to days economic downfall, are also the fault for the collapsing instruct. For years now government has been collecting gasoline taxes, now at 18 cents per-gallon to fix and maintain them. Where has all this money been spent - on government Largess and Political Pork, now called Earmarks. Now, it looks like this nation will, under an OBAMA - Works Project Administration ADMINISTRATION (WPA) --return to the pass for a solution. Today, nothing has changed or will change, until we the people take our government back. We can go back into our history, to see the future. The Democrats have once again changed their label from Liberal to Progressive (meaning to move forward) to deceive the public at large. OBAMA IS NOT MAKING CHANGE HE IS REHASHING THE PAST IN ORDER TO LOOK LIKE HE IS A BRIGHT SPOT ON THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY.Let's only hope that he is, this time, right. I, like many, still living, lived through the depression years. Roosevelt's "New Deal" in the end proved to be a "Raw Deal." Instead,it took a World War to get us out of the Depression. Let's hope, this time it works. If it doesn't, we, as a nation, will self-destruct as a power on the world stage.
"Heroes are created by popular demand, sometimes out of the scantiest materiels, or nothing at all." Gerald W. Johnson.
