I ain't no Nigger
To open this letter/massage, I have to give thanks to Glenn Beck for finally giving
American--all black Americans a voice, voice of black people that are as true
to this country and as loyal to this country as any of us us who love this country
and are thankful for being born in America. Thank you, thank Glenn Beck for finally
giving them a chance to speak out for themselves, not for the color, party or
whatever, but for the Love of America.
I used to say, jokingly, that the black and Mexicans, as kids, only hung around with
me so they could have someone, they could look down on. To explain this, I was born
in the year into a family that would have 11 children born of a month er who, in the
year l929, after giving birth to one of my brothers, shortly thereafter was diagnosed as an epileptic. I do not want to harp on my life, as wells our families
life story. But during this period, two races of people the Blacks and the African
people who gave us a lot of help, during the depression years.
But I want to pay tribute to a big women, that in the year l936-37, after our
family once again, the children coming out of the Orphanage an our mother coming
out of the Hospital, a Great Lady,m a Black Women into our lives one could say
as a surrogate mother. I will not dwell this, but I want to say, this lady, the Black
Lady, was my Rosa Parks, and will always be. Later in the year's l943-44, during
WWII, while working on an Ice Route, she was one of my customers.
The Gist of this letter, is that I tried, out of my love and gratitude for what
she did for me and, as well my entire family, I tried to give her, her Ice Free.
Big Mistake! That's the first time in our lives together, she every spoke harshly
"to me, exclaiming to me, loud and clear: "Boy you ain't giving me nutting," I ain't
no nigger! KNOWING HER, I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT SHE MEANT.
GLENN, IN THAT GROUP YOU HAD, EVERY TIME ONE OF THEM THEY SPOKE, I COULD SEE IN THEIR FACES MY MRS LEWIS/LOUIS. NEVER LEARNED HOW SHE SPELLED HER NAME.
I have written my life story from age 2 to age l7 called: Raised in the Greatest
Generation - No Silver Spoons. iF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT Mrs. L/l. you
can get the full story about her, on Amazon.Com and all the other outlets.
