Glenn Beck is correct for the most part, in his presentation, however, socialism in this country, started much early and got its big push in l935, under FDR. Also the Depression of l929 was prolonged in this country by the Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act of l930. The big push in this country's, present economic woes, started with the l964 entitlement imitative--the Gareth Society program of LBJ's national boon=doggle. Today our entitlements account for over 60 pendent of our GDP. THIS FIGURE, ALSO CORRELATES WITH THE FACT THAT APPROXIMATELY 60 PERCENT OF OUR CITIZENSHIP RECEIVES SOME FORM OF GOVERNMENT LARGESS. Unless we curtail government spending (entitlements) we will not get out of this ,mess were in until many years down the road. The simple answer is for government to stop spending money we no longer have, The Messenger
