Flag desecration

Folks, in his first introduction as a Candidate for the Presidency, he let it be known, that he would not wear a lapel pin of the Flag, because he didn't want to use it as a tool and or in words to that effect. Shortly ofter that, he started wearing the flag pin. Why, because he soon learned that the would be a big mistake. Today it has been made clear what he, Obama as well as his constituency think of this country. How, by trashing it! After his convention was over, it seems that all those flags they were waving, were not being waved as a symbol for what this country is and has been--a symbol of hope but also a symbol of strength. Anyone who really loved this flag, could not discard it in such a dastardly manner, as it was after the talking, screaming, yelling and crying was over It somehow lost its reverence, by those who in their glee, after hearing all that was to be given to them, free, could not contain their rapture. However, afterwords, when the lights were being turned off, the cameras taken away, old Glory, our nations Flag was discarded like a dirty rag! Is this what our flag really means to them, those that proudly waved it in an apparent demonstration of love, but was only shaking it, twisting and turning it in the air as their true feelings that now they would soon be in charge, that we could discard it in a trash can, on the ground or whatever. Is this the symbolic answer to Rev. Wrights Goddam America. I have to ask, who are these people, these thousands upon thousands of supposed proud Americans who could stand by, or worst participate in this mass desecration of Old Glory. Could not even a few in this crowd, come to its rescue. Could not a few, a hundred, a thousand or even just one pick it up, cling it to their bosom, take it and use it as a remembrance, if for nothing else, then the promises made while the flag was being waved in,I suppose, a show of some sort of victory. IT THIS WHAT WE HAVE COME? Folks what do I think. I am sorry, but I think it was a callous display of outright contempt for this our nations colors, our symbolic love of our country and all it stands for. I cannot help feeling a deep sense of sorry. That these numbers, that that groups, that those people could not love this country, but have an innate hatred of it. I feel sick to my stomach. I HOPE THAT THESE PEOPLE, WHO WERE OF ALL RACES CREEDS AND COLORS--NEVER REPEAT NEVER COME TO PLAY ANY LEADERSHIP ROLL IN THE RUNNING OF THIS GREAT NATION FOR SURELY, WITH SUCH DEMONSTRATED HATRED FOR IT, OUR COUNTRY--IT WOULD BE TANTAMOUNT TO LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICAN AS WE NOW KNOW IT.
