Cowardly citizens
"It is easy to be a coward - takes work to be a man. In my lifetime, I had the opportunity to
observe both. In my opinion, a coward is a man unwilling to face the realities of life. To deny
them is a cowards way of not having to face up to them.
I have hand the honor and privilege of Service my country, for 0ver 21 years.
During that time frame, I have met and associated with the greatest people on this planet.
When we enter the Service we, for the most part, do not want be a hero. We do
want to earn our pay by devoting our loyalty with a willingness to defend it, our country, if need be, to the death. Yet, always hoping that we do not have to die, in doing so.
No one becomes a hero, by doing something stupid to achieve it - heroism. A hero is not born.
He/she, they became so, and it is only achieved, when a person faces a situation so intensified, that it takes one to react ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY.
You, by your complete denial that the War in Iraq was not necessary is questionable. My question, where does all this knowledge and insight come from. For you, for obvious political advantage, to even suggest that our President, George W. Bush would put our nations most precious and valuable treasure, in harms way, as you suggest and in a most callous, calculating and self-serving manner, is sicking and no true and loyal citizen of this nation should tolerate it.
Yes, you can draw the crowds, crowds of citizen that are st right out of the Pity me mentality,
now cultivated and in full bloom, by the Democratic party. It must take a lot of nerve for you
to tell us that our past achievements were minimal and how you want to Change it. You say Yes we can, Yes we can. I say like hell you can!
This Nation became great, by a citizenship willing to , from the start, face unbelievable hardship and danger with courage, convictions and self-reliance. We will not fore go all that we have achieved, to the likes of a generation of Do Nothings. Al Sharpton only recently, proudly
proclaimed, that the Nations of Africa Had Kings, long before the other races. That is true, and
it has been downhill for them. every since. Today We call them 3rd World Countries!
"An individual is as superb as a nation when he has the qualities that make a superb nation."
Walt Whitman (Sen. Obama - you lack these qualities!)
