Total Ignorance
I hate to admit it, but I am having a hard time, listening to Obama distort what the Presidency is all about and either he is trying to fool the people as to what the constitution is
about. Before I get into the duties of a president, what he can constitutional due, spend etc.
First off, you are either factually, and constitutionally ignorant of what the constitution is
about, and what you should know about it. From what you are saying, I have come to the
conclusion that you are totally ignorant--not stupid--just plain ignorant. I like your responses, you have a high degree of Wit, but so does a Nit-Wit I know your constituency is not the
brightest of our citizens, but you a college graduate, a lawyer, has such a limited knowledge
of our nations constitution. My question is it really ignorance on your part, or are you deliberately deceiving your followers, for political again/advantage.
First off, the man that holds the Presidency, does not operate/function in a vacuum. He is
constantly appraised of what is going on and in fact coping with situation on a daily basis. He
has served his office with honor, his presents, and with advise and consent. It is my understanding, that the same cannot be said about you. Your have a remarkable record for
being absent when it comes to doing a major part of you legislative duties--like voting.
Now to the Constitution! In the preamble to same, it states...provide for the common defence...
In article II The executive Branch Section 1. (1) The executive power shall be vested in
a President of the United States of America...
(8) before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following oath or
Affirmation---"I do solemnly swear or (affirm):...to the best of my Ability to ...preserve,
protect and defend the Constitution.
In short he does not have the power to Declare War without the Consent of the Congress.
Just because you voted not to defend this country, does not mean that you were the only
smart one. Not voting for the War could also be for cowardly reasons!
As you know or should know the "Power of the Purse" is under the legislative branch.
The President Proposes, Congress Disposes! Your claim that George Bush is spending
12 billion a month on an illegal war is not only fallacious, it is disingenuous and can only be
made out of a attempt to deceive the public or, once again, total ignorance.
Young man, before you run for this high office, you should at least understand it! Also,
no president, in our nations history, has gone to war--blindly. They, unlike you, did not
have the privilege to pick and choose what war is good, what war is bad. I guess, if you
feel that a citizen, at large, can pick and choose what War is good or which is bad, perhaps the
Civil War would not have occurred.
"Nothing is worse than active ignorance." Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
